Peeky is the timing application designed to work with the PechaKucha style of presentation as well as ignite and generic types of time limited events. The Peeky application helps the presenter in both rehearsal and in live presentations by providing a visible and (optionally on iPhone) a vibration when a section of slide should be nearing a close. Version 1.1 was launched on 08/12/2009.

The timer is flexible enough to handle many slide and duration formats and has the following features:

• count down timer for slides and the time left on the current slide
• overall countdown timer
• specify the number of slides and a common duration across the slides
• ability to specify a warning threshold so that a visual cue on the iPhone screen shows that you are coming to the end of the current slide
• ability to specify an interval within the warning period. You can then issue a vibration warnning every x seconds into that period.
• vibrate warning to accompany the visual warning of a slide coming to an end
• the countdown can be stopped during training and restarted
• traditional time limited presentations can be supported by choosing the appropriate duration (in seconds) and having just one slide.

Please note:

• It is recommended that you use this application in "Airplane Mode"to avoid interruptions.
• Screen saving is now disabled when the timer is running.

Version 1.1 build 20 introduced:

• Disable screen saving when the timer is running

Version 1.1 build 17 introduced:

• ability to specify all times in minutes and seconds
• whole screen background changes colour when approaching the end of slide
• a warning interval is available. If it is not zero then Peeky will trigger a vibrate (iPhone only) every x seconds into the warning period. This is my son's idea by the way. He is thrilled it has been adopted.

Tips:

On the settings screen there is a "save" and a "done" button.

• "Save" will use the current settings and make them the default
• "Done" will use the current settings but will not save them so starting the app again would use the previously saved defaults
